Oakden scandal could lead to ICAC investigation against SA Health Minister

The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has scope to investigate Mental Health Minister Leesa Vlahos over her involvement in the Oakden scandal, the Law Society of South Australia (LSSA) says. The Oakden aged mental care facility in Adelaide’s north-east will be closed after a chief psychiatrist’s report last month revealed cases of abuse and neglect against elderly residents in two of its wards, with mistreatment going back several years.
